Bottoms Up!

My lovely cousin, Carolyn, gave me a book called "Bottoms Up, A cheeky look at life." It's full of great little quotes about the funny side of life. From now on, I am going to try and post one every couple of days. I won't promise one each day, cause I know that will NEVER happen and anyone who reads my blog regularly will be on the floor laughing!!

So here's todays quote, one which hubby would say is perfect for me.

"Whoever said you can't buy happiness had never been shopping!"

Yep, it is so me........

Come back in a few days and check out the next quote. There won't be any over the weekend, as KT and I are going to Tassie. YAY!!!!!!

CYA. MWAH!

Little Posers

It doesn't take much to get the girls to pose for a photo. These were taken just near the light house at Norah Head, up the coast last school holidays. It was such a cloudy and windy day but the overcast conditions were great for some photo taking. Sometimes it is hard to get them to be serious about it. We had to redo a couple of photos cause they were laughing or the wind blew hair in their faces. But I was really happy with the shots we took that day. Actually, we got some great shots throughout the holiday. If you want to see more, click on the link for our photo album on the side.

The Naughty Word

The other day I was posting on the SCRAPAWHILE forum and I was "caught" using the naughty word. "What naughty word" you ask? HOUSEWORK! I was posting that if I wasn't on the forum then I would have to do my housework. Apparently, that word is banned, and rightly so. I HATE HOUSEWORK!!!! The girls gave me a talking to about using the "naughty word, they even threatened to wash my mouth out with soap!

Today, Kathryn posted the following, (which she received in an email) in regard to housework and I thought I would share it. I laughed when I read it and thought I might just see if it works. Do you think Allan will go for it????

HOW TO CLEAN THE HOUSE.
1. Open a new file in your PC.
2. Name it "Housework."
3. Send it to the RECYCLE BIN.
4. Empty the RECYCLE BIN
5. Your PC will ask you, "Are you sure you want to delete Housework permanently?"
6. Calmly answer, "Yes," and press mouse button firmly......
7. Feel better?Works for me!

Thanks Kathryn, it made me feel better just laughing about it!

Where has the time gone?

I took this photo of Bethany just a few weeks ago at a family wedding and it was not until later that I realised how grown up she has become. Gone is her baby face, her chubby little cheeks and whispy baby hair. All of a sudden she has gotten taller, her features have taken on a more grown up look and she is becoming such a beautiful, young lady. Soon she will be turning 8 and I have no idea what happened to the years in between, they go by so fast.

"These are the times to remember
cause it will not last for ever,
these are the days to hold onto,
cause we won't although we'll want to."

These are the times - Billy Joel

Marshmallow Night!!!!

Allan was out with his mates for the night so the girls and I decided to don our pj's and have some fun! The girls enjoyed dipping their marshmallows first into the chocolate fondue and then into coloured sprinkles. Emma just kept licking the chocolate off hers and re-dipping, lucky it was just the three of us! Bethany ate the most marshmallows and all the left over chocolate.
